I'm now the proud owner of a TiVo Series 3. It arrived last week and I got around to upgrading it with a 500GB disk Wednesday night/yesterday morning. It now reports up to 65 hours of HDTV recording and 610 hours of SDTV. My CableCards arrive on Monday.
Next step... buy an HDTV! I'm looking at the Samsung 4095 which has true 1080i resolution. Anyone have any experience with this model?

Re: My TiVo Series 3
Mon, November 20, 2006 - 11:03 AMI can live with that. The TiVo Series 3 is wonderful.
My cable company (Comcast) delivers every station in digital form, so even local standard definition stations record straight to disk and look terrific. I have my Samsung 4095 now and everything looks great. Even SDTV shows look so much sharper than they were when recorded through the analog inputs on my TiVo Series 2 and displayed on my old CRT-based TV.
